Tengchong, a Small But an Attractive City

Tengchong, a county-level city in western Yunnan province, China to be an important town on the ancient Silk Road. It borders with Myanmar. The city has a long history, superior ecology and prosperous business. Jade trade is one of the main businesses. Jade processing and trade has a history of more than 600 years.
The long history of civilization creates the local citizens for love of reading. The city now possesses the largest rural library in China, with a collection of more than 100,000 books. One of an ancient arts—-shadow puppet, is still being welcome and performed.
The tourism projects such as hot springs, wetlands and volcanic clusters attract more tourists than before.
