Chinese President Xi leaves for home
Kathmandu, Oct 13: President of People’s Republic of China, Xi Jingping, returned home today following his two-day state visit to Nepal. The Chinese President had arrived here on Saturday afternoon at the friendly invitation of President Bidya Devi Bhandari.
He left for home this afternoon on a special aircraft from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). President Bhandari was at TIA to see off her Chinese counterpart. She bid him farewell at TIA VVIP Lounge. The President also said goodbye to all members in the Chinese delegation.
Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli also reached TIA to see off the Chinese President.
The National Assembly (NA) chair, members in the Council of Ministers including deputy prime ministers, deputy speaker, State 3 chief minister, chiefs and officials of constitutional bodies, government senior officers, Nepalese ambassador for China, China’s ambassador for Nepal, and senior officials at the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu were also present on the occasion.
A contingent of Nepal Army presented a guard of honour to the Chinese President.
