Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif Speaks with Nepal PM Balendra Shah, Announces Emergency Relief Assistance

Kathmandu, 2026 August 28: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has spoken with Nepal Prime Minister Balendra Shah by telephone and conveyed his condolences over the loss of life and widespread devastation caused by the recent flash floods and landslides in Nepal.

In a message posted on social media platform X, Sharif said he spoke with Prime Minister Shah that afternoon to convey his heartfelt condolences over the tragedy.

Sharif said Pakistan stands in complete solidarity with the Government and people of Nepal during this difficult hour.

He also said he assured Prime Minister Shah of Pakistan’s full support and conveyed that Pakistan is dispatching emergency relief assistance to contribute to the ongoing relief efforts.
