G20 New Delhi: Committed to achieving the established goals and objectives of the Organization

VOK NEWS/Kathmandu, 2023 September 10, Sunday/The 18th Summit of the big industrial countries G20 summit is being held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, India. Head of the states and head of the governments form member countries have been taking part at the summit. American President Joe Biden, Chinese Premier Li Qiang, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Norman Albanese and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres have been attending the summit.
Likewise, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and European Council President Charles Michel also attended the summit. World Health Organization’s chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and International Labour Organization’s Director General Gilbert F. Hongbo are also attending the G20 summit.
The G20 was established as a common organization of emerging economies countries with the aim of managing the global economy during the economic crisis fifteen years back. The focus of heads of government and heads of state of various countries who are participating in the New Delhi edition has shifted to how to work according to long-term commitments to balance the global economy.
The summit, which will run for two-day; September 9 to 10, highlighted the global impact of climate change and initiatives to mitigate it. The conference is also expected to discuss how to promote the spirit of unity and cooperation among the industrially and economically least developed countries.
The G-20 focuses on key issues related to the global economy such as international financial stability, mitigating the ill effects of climate change and sustainable development.
The summit, attended by leaders of 19 large economies, including the European Union, is expected to play an important role in truly uniting countries that are slowly moving forward on the path of industrial and economic development.
In an article published on the eve of the summit, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed on human-centric global development. He stressed the need for unity among all human beings of the world for a common future. He added that the people of the world should join hands as one family and move forward to achieve common progress and prosperity.
Prime Minister Modi has expressed the opinion that the concept of ‘Global South’, which brings economically and industrially less developed countries together, and the marginalized aspirations of the developing countries of Africa are inevitable to be included in the mainstream.
While addressing the conference, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang said that the members of the G 20 group of countries should follow the goals of unity and cooperation and shoulder the responsibility of the era for peace and development.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement seems to agree with President Xi’s important statement that through regional cooperation and exchange of languages and cultures, unity among the people of the world will create a common destiny and a happy future for mankind.
It is expected that the grand welcome given by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang, who arrived in New Delhi to participate in the summit, will facilitate the achievement of unity and common goals between the two countries in the rise of Asia.
The main slogan of this summit is One Earth, One Home, One Future. In each of his speeches, the President of China, Xi Jinping, has been giving an important message that world leaders should unite in building world peace, the common destiny of mankind and the future.

The message given by the leaders of these two countries and the plan of collective cooperation seems to be consistent with the message of the 18th meeting of the G 20 being held in New Delhi. At a time when things like unrest, poverty, hunger, caste discrimination, adverse effects of climate change, uneven development are challenging the world itself, the G20 New Delhi Conference is sure to bring new hope to the people of the world.
At the same time, the Tibetan Youth Congress activists, who are close to the exiled Tibetan government in India, demonstrated against the Chinese representatives participating in the G20 conference in New Delhi, the news has also been published. Demonstrators have demanded that the world should raise the issue of Tibetan affairs in the G20 conference in the Sino-Tibet issue.
China has been saying for a long time that the legitimate demands of Tibetan refugees can be resolved through dialogue. In the event that the Chinese government does not reject talks with the exiled Tibetan leader under any condition other than the integrity of the motherland, para-nationalists suggest that talks should be made a means of solving the problem.
It cannot be said that the demonstration against the Chinese representatives participating in the G20 conference will not make it difficult to facilitate the negotiation environment. However, the world community hopes and believes that the visionary leadership of China, which is becoming the center of world power, will leave no stone unturned in solving the Tibetan problem.
On the whole, there is no doubt that the G20 will be committed to achieving the established goals and objectives of the Delhi Conference Organization.
