4 terrorists, soldier killed in clash in Pakistan   

ISLAMABAD, Sunday 13 Aug, 2023/Four terrorists and a soldier were killed in a clash between security forces and militants in Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a military statement said on Sunday.

 The incident happened from the Saturday night to the early morning of Sunday when the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bajaur district of the province, the army’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in the statement.

 “During the conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange occurred between security forces and terrorists,” the statement added.

 The security forces recovered arms, ammunition and explosives, including a suicide vest from the terrorists, the ISPR said.

 The slain terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces and the killing of innocent citizens, the ISPR said. Xinhua
