The World University Games, begins today in Chengdu with colorful landmark ceremony

Ramesh Hatuwali, Chengdu, China, 28 July, 2023 Friday/FISU World University Games 2021 is starting today in Chengdu city, the capital city of Sichuan Province of China.

The President of China, Xi Jinping, is launching the FISU World University Games today. Athletes from more then 150 countries expected to participate in this mega sports event.  President Xi is already here with some invited presidents of some countries in Chengdu to participate in the opening ceremony of the game.

The weather was rainy from early morning till midnight yesterday, today the weather is so good, no rain a sunny day already experienced in Chengdu. The daily life has begun in the bright sunny day. We can see business of volunteers, security personals, and hotel and transport managers increasing. They are caring athletes and guests with their best services.

In order to complete this sport in a grand, civil and peaceful manner, the security system of the city has been tightened and various security checks have been arranged when entering airports, hotels and stadiums. In view of this sport, the operation of private vehicles in the main areas of Chengdu city has been stopped for the duration of the sport, while public vehicles have been mobilized with importance.

Media representatives from different countries of the world also continue to reach Chengdu to collect live news of the sport. In view of the sports competition, Chengdu city has been decorated like a bride. Banners with various slogans written on the roads from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the stadium can seen everywhere in the city.

Almost all the streets of the city have been converted into gardens and well-organized tree plantations have increased the beauty of the city and helped to make the environment cleaner.
