Pakistani Ambassador Presented Credentials

VOK NEWS/Kathmandu, 2023 June 12, Monday/ His Excellency Mr. Abrar H Hashmi presented his Letters of Credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Nepal to the Right Honourable, Mr. Ramchandara Paudel President of the Federal Republic of Nepal, in an impressive ceremony held at Presidency in Kathmandu. During the presentation, Ambassador Hashmi conveyed greetings and best wishes of the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif as well as from the people of Pakistan for the personal health of the President of Nepal and continued progress and prosperity of friendly people of Nepal.

President  Paudel welcomed and congratulated His Excellency Mr. Abrar H Hashmi, as Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal. He also mentioned a cordial and friendly relations that so happily exists between peoples of Pakistan and Nepal and assured full cooperation of Government of Nepal to the Ambassador in discharge of his duties in Nepal.

Right Honourable, the President asked the Ambassador to convey his greetings, and best wishes to the H.E. Dr. Arif Alvi, President Pakistan, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and people of Pakistan for their continued progress and prosperity.

Ambassador Hashmi expressed that the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Nepal have always been cordial based on goodwill, mutual trust and cooperation.  He further said that both the countries to revive bilateral mechanisms and highlevel contacts. He said that both countries were founding members of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and said Nepal gives high importance to SAARC and is optimistic and for reactivating of SAARC process.

During the ceremony, Foreign Minister, Chief of Army Staff, Principal Secretary to the President, Foreign Secretary and other high officials of the office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal were present.
