China Media Group’s objection to Mao’s masked photo publication

China Media Group (CMG) has objected to a photo published by The Kathmandu Post on February 18, under Kantipur Media Group. In the article titled ‘China’s has made the coronavirus crisis much worse’, the mask is pasted on the photo of Chinese great leader Mao Zedong, inscribed on the one hundred RMB.
CMG journalist Zhang Yue (Barsha) has said that such photos insult to the Chinese people, saying that China has high respect for its leader.
The Coronavirus infection has recently become worldwide, to protect from the coronavirus not only the Chinese people but also anyone can wear masks according to the World Health Organization’s appeal.
Wearing a mask on a video CMG correspondent Chang Yue has said, ‘If you need a photo, use this photo of mine for free.’ CMG correspondent Barsha condemned to the Kathmandu post mistake, saying that it’s not acceptable to the Chinese people to spread rumors to the world like as western media.
