Pakistani flag fluttering at the Embassy in Kathmandu

Ramesh Hatuwali/Kathmandu : On the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan, a flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu. Ambassador Abrar H Hashmi unfurled the national flag in the presence of Pakistani nationals, Nepali friends, and embassy officials with their families.

The event was marked by patriotic fervor and a sense of triumph, especially in light of Pakistan’s recent success in “Marka-e-Haq.”
In his address, Ambassador Hashmi paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s founding fathers and praised the Armed Forces for their role in defending the nation’s sovereignty.

A special prayer was offered for the martyrs who laid down their lives for the preservation of ‘Azadi’. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, in their messages, highlighted the resilience and achievements of the Pakistani nation over the past 78 years.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar emphasized Pakistan’s diplomatic and military success in Marka-e-Haq, reaffirming support for the Kashmiri cause.

The ceremony concluded with renewed commitment to peace, progress, and unity.
